Ancient Light
Why did people in the ancient world believe in gods and goddesses?  What if gods and goddesses were real, and created in the world to aid humans.  Would they be like angels?  Would they be like demons?  What if one came into the modern world?

The Question:

The question that launched The Ancient Light is this: what if there really were gods and goddesses in the ancient world?  And the specific question for Aegypt is this:  what if one of those goddesses were brought back into the modern world?

  Steps in the publication process:
Contract - 1 January 2014 - My publisher contracted with BroadStreet publishing to produce and publish Aegypt a 3 in 1 novel with Sister of Light and Sister of Darkness.  The novels will be published under the Elutheria brand by BroadStreet.  They will also be published individually by OakTara.  In electronic and paperback copy.

Proposal with novel information and synopsis sent to publisher

This novel was odd because the publisher requested a sequel and therefore knew it was coming.  Generally, the publisher wants information and a synopsis in their format prior to receiving the manuscript.

     Manuscript sent to publisher - 13 January 2009, 25 October 2009

OakTara agreed to contract the Novel - 30 September 2009

     OakTara sent a contract - 30 September 2009

Contract signed and returned - 1 October 2009

Final signed contract copy returned from publisher - 19 February 2010

Cover - will move to the author page when I have an initial cover, this section and info will also move to the secrets page with a cover.

Request from publisher for cover ideas - when I finish a novel, I develop a title (if I haven't already), produce the marketing information and synopsis (usually a 500 and 250 word synopsis), and work on a cover concept.  I have one in mind for this novel, but it is a take off on the original cover for Aegypt.

Sent cover ideas to Publisher - 16 October 2008

Publisher's recommended covers - None for Sister of Light or Sister of Darkness, but the publisher developed a cover for Ancient Light by at least 1 June.  You can see it at www.AncientLight.com. - 31 July 2014

Final front cover development - 31 July 2014  The front cover was finalized with BroadStreet before I had a chance to look at it.  It's a great cover for the market.  I'm happy with it.

Development of cover back - 1 August 2014  The back cover material was produced with Oaktara.  I was able to review, but the project was moving fast.

Final entire cover - 1 August 2014  The back cover material was produced with Oaktara.  I was able to review, but the project was moving fast.

Cover spine sized for book - 1 August 2014  The back cover material was produced with Oaktara.  I was able to review, but the project was moving fast.

Press release - A press release was developed prior to the publication of Ancient Light.  You can see it at www.AncientLight.com.  A press release was developed and I have input to it.  I haven't seen the final press release.
